Roy Rogers, a Nevada State Ranger Captain in charge of the Rangers Reclamation Service, makes a trip to Las Vegas for the annual Heldorado Frontier Days Festival, as he wants to help his old friend Gabby Whittaker who originated the idea.
In Las Vegas, Roy meets heiress Carol Randall, who has been selected as the Queen of the Heldorado.
Roy is informed that the F.B.I. wants an immediate investigation of the counterfeit thousand dollar bills that are being passed over the gambling tables at the casino.

The Complete Film
The 54 min TV Print of this film has been floating around for years. This, however, is the complete film with 17 minutes of restored footage and its whole different animal. Shot parttly on location in Las Vegas and at Boulder Dam (not something Republic was noted for) and then inter-cut with studio footage to very good advantage. This Roy Rogers entry is superior in many ways to others he's done. Notes: This was the last release for Christmas 1946 and the last in B/W for several years. The last film co-starring "Gabby" Hayes. Dale Evans is a full co-star here too, and knowing what we know now, romantic sparks were obvious between Roy and Dale and not just acting skills. Very good of kind. Enjoy
